Make your own photo book - a popular Christmas gift

If you have a bunch of digital photos from your holiday or wedding, you would like to gather in a beautiful way? More and more home users have begun to create their own photo books through the printing services available online.
Just a few years ago, it was only to provoke digital photos to plain paper. It looks completely different today. Today most companies offer the possibility to get prints on everything from canvas and coffee mugs to clothing, and postcards, posters and photo books .
- It was not this year's Christmas present this year, but the industry is growing fast, says Patrick Mark, CEO of Swedish Photo Home. Three years ago was the concept photo book almost unknown, now know most of what is at stake.
A photo book is just what it sounds like. It is a book whose pages are adorned with your digital photos. The possibilities are great and you can often design your book a bit anyway. The different printing companies have different types of templates to work after, so it's worth checking around to find what you're looking for.

Prices vary greatly between the different providers. At Home Photo does a photo book with hard covers, mid-size, and up to 48 pages 579 kronor. One, according to specifications, similar book in Foto.com costs 225 dollars. The quality can of course be different, which you should check if you want to be extra careful.

Test: Kaspersky Internet Security 2010

Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 offers complete protection of your computer in the form of antivirus, firewall, parental controls, phishing protection, so called Sandbox and everything else you could want. This without requiring too much of your computer.
When Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 launched in the Swedish version, we published a news about it and promised to come back with a test. Now I have test driven security package on a laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate and I can already tell you first that I have been happy with the security package.
As I wrote in the article on trends in the antivirus 2010 has security firms this year focused more on programs to trim down further, and that you move out much of the control of dangerous code to the cloud. This means that your security software communicates with the security company's servers to keep track of whether the programs you run or download is legitimate.
This type of solution in the cloud has become a must. The previous technique was based on signatures (virus signatures, or definition lists) but since it released today around 25,000 new unsafe code every day (Source: Symantec ) , there is no way to keep everybody abreast of new signature files. To update its antivirus once a day is no longer enough. Therefore, it is smart to take it to the cloud, and thereby obtain protection against the latest threats in real time.

Installera Kaspersky 2010

As I wrote above, I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 on a laptop withWindows 7 Ultimate operating system. The computer is rather limited in its technology and contains only an Intel Pentium Mobile processor at 1.73 GHz and 1 GB of internal memory.
By running on an older machine, I think you get a more accurate picture of how the software package will really work out to ordinary people, where you rarely have a computer of top model. In addition, you see the manufacturers told the truth when they talk about their software requires little computing power.
The installation is not much to talk about. It went quickly and smoothly. The process took about fifteen minutes and then loaded including an update to the latest version of the program down. When installation was finished, I found out that the computer was protected, and then stayed Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 quietly in the background - just as you would like a security package to do.
There was a problem, and it was that I did after the installation did not come to my other computers or my NAS on the network. It is a fairly common problem after you have installed a firewall, so after changing the rights to the firewall it worked again.

Encryption in Buffalo MiniStation and DriveStation

Buffalo launching two new external hard drives by name MiniStation and DriveStation. The news of them is that they come with built-in encryption, which prevents unwanted guests to access the information. Are you afraid to lose or be robbed of your important files, this could be interesting.

Encryption of external hard drives are hardware-rate and the standard AES265bit. For Windows users there is a function called Secure lid manager Dolphin, Which allows you to avoid logging in with a password each time you use the hard drive on your regular computer.
Buffalo MiniStation is a portable hard drive that is based on a 2.5-inch disk. They are small and compact, lightweight and take, and it's easy to join them because you do not need an external power supply. The drives will stand the power coming from the USB connection.

Prices for mini-station starts at 899 kronor to 250 GB up to 1199 bits for 500 GB.
Big Brother Buffalo DriveStation is a more stationary device running with a 3.5-inch hard drive and thus need external power adapter. The benefits of buying one of these, is that you get more storage for the money and the hard disk is faster. Crazy thin and light laptop - Sony Vaio X and again!

Sony Vaio X , the time of writing is not launched, but it seems like a very interesting notebook PC. The computer is built to be light and thin - and it seems to have succeeded. According to specifications, the Sony Vaio X can only measure about 1.4 inches in thickness and weight of 680 grams !

There have been rumors on your computer in a little while now, and Sony has also announced a small video with it. New, however, is that Sony has posted a product page for the Vaio X , where you can read about the specifications. Or you can read about the Sony Vaio X with Liliputing , if you think your Japanese is a little rusty.

As far as the hardware itself seems to be just rumors. According to sources, Liliputing, it looks as though Sony will invest in a low-power Intel Atom processor, which certainly makes the battery life gets longer, but simultaneously restrict the performance of your computer.
Sony Vaio X will probably not qualify as a small laptop, given the way it is built. By that I mean that its price tag will place a computer in a different compartment than the inexpensive mini-computers.
Yesterday I wrote in my blog about the Dell Latitude Z , who is also an extremely thin laptop. Dell machine measuring 1.5 centimeters in thickness, but then it also has a 16-inch display.

Surf anonymously -- Gate

As of April 1 was introduced file-sharing law Ipred in Sweden. The law allows for professional organizations to gather information on IP addresses that are considered suspicious for file sharing violations. There are several services that allow you to anonymize your surfing. In this series, we look at several such.
Tor is a free service that for it to work requires that you install a program on your computer. The program is available for both Windows, Linux, Unix and Macintosh. The technology behind the service is based on you by the program using randomly connect to other Tor users. Before the traffic from your computer reaches the site you want to visit made several jumps from one Tor-connected servers, and between each step so the traffic is encrypted . Every computer in the chain as traffic jumps between do not know more about the submitted information packages than from where they last came, and where to next. Through a lot of hope complicated tracking and interception of traffic.
Tor is completely free to use and you can choose if you just want to surf anonymously or if you want to allow traffic into the Tor network also jump through your computer. There are lots of options and you can select the type of traffic and what applications you want to use Tor.
Best suited Tor quite clear to ordinary simple web browsing, because the service is very slow when it comes to things such as file transfer or direct communication type game or audio / video conferencing.

HP moves to faster Atom processor in the new Mini-Note 2140

Hewlett-Packard is one of the major computer manufacturers that are involved and competing in the market of mini-computers - or netbooks, they are also known. Their HP 2133 Mini-Note has become a popular computer, and now comes the sequel mini-note 2140th.
When I tested the HP 2133 Mini-Note, I thought it was way too slow. The reason why it is so much slower than its competitors is that HP has chosen to run Windows Vista on it, along with the fact that the computer manufacturer for some reason has chosen to use a slow VIA processor.
With the Mini-Note 2140 is now over to an Intel Atom processor. This is the processor used in most mini-computers today, and it is a good choice because the Atom is energy efficient and effective. You will not be able to run any games or heavy applications on an Atom processor, but the purpose of netbooks is being able to surf and send e-mail, and it works, great.
Mini computer will have a screen of 10.1 inches, which is backlit by LEDs. The chassis is, just as in the previous model, made of aluminum (much better than most of its competitors' plastic, but obviously affects the weight part). The keyboard is a big plus. However, HP has not fixed the trackpad, where the keys are placed on either side instead of the trackpad.
Another novelty is that HP is using its technology 3D Safe Drive, which is a solution to protect the hard drive from shock. Vibration and shock is a reason why I personally advocate SSD instead of HDD in mini-computers. I want to run my computer in the car, without the risk of vibration damage to a hard drive.
The price tag said to be around 4000 dollars when it reaches out in stores later this month - in the United States. When it comes to Sweden and Europe are not clear, nor what it will cost then. At this writing does a HP 2133 Mini-Note around 3800 dollars.
