Huawei Technologies, a company designing and manufacturing solutions for telecommunications networks for operators worldwide, has announced the development of a new integration solution network standard Wi-Fi and HSPA on the Classmate PC (Intel Atom processor-based) which will be called Huawei EM772.
The idea is the development of a new small platform that wants to allow a greater availability of access to networks by exploiting the possibility of integration between Wi-Fi/HSPA that will have the dual advantage for the producers to reduce the space for these device into their devices, and at the same time reduce the costs of production. James Chen, Marketing Director of Huawei Terminals said: "We are confident that the new solution EM772 significantly improve the user experience.
Innovation continues to be the basis of Huawei's development strategy and will allow us to seize the opportunities of a rapidly growing market like that of the laptop. " At the same time Hawk Min, Hardware Engineering Team Director of Intel's Emerging Market Platforms Group added: "We believe that future Intel-powered classmate PC equipped with the new dual-mode wireless solution announced by Huawei will enable you to benefit from increased wireless connectivity. The small size of the module will fit within the thin and light notebook that 2009 will be the predominant trend in the mobile sector. "
Technically, the product was presented as valid, with a speed of 5.76 Mb per second of uplink and downlink speeds of 7.2 Mb per second (again with HSPA network). According to the theoretical demonstration, presentation, the new EM772 module will allow the user to download an MP3 track of the average duration to 128 Kb in less than a second. With Wi-Fi features, however, the speed can reach 54 Mb per second, being able to download a movie in High-Definition average length of a minute or so.
